Our Sisters

58 M.D.D.C.C.

Spring 2000 — a season to remember, a bond that will last a lifetime. The Sensational Spring 2000 line represents strength, sisterhood, service, and scholarship. We stepped on the yard with purpose, pride, and power, continuing the legacy of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. with grace and determination.

Our line embodies the true essence of sisterhood — women who have grown together, supported one another through life’s milestones, and continue to make an impact in our communities, careers, and families. From classrooms to boardrooms, pulpits to political arenas, and from service projects to global initiatives, Spring 2000 women have carried the torch of Delta with excellence and love.

More than two decades later, we remain bonded by our shared journey, cherished memories, and an unshakable commitment to uplift and inspire. Spring 2000 is more than a line — it’s a legacy of leadership, purpose, and power.

Delta Pi
Spring 2000

On February 10, 2000, history was made at Jackson State University when 58 extraordinary women crossed the burning sands into sisterhood as the Spring 2000 line of Delta Pi Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. United by courage, faith, and determination, we embraced a lifelong commitment to sisterhood, scholarship, and service — a legacy that continues to define who we are today.

For 25 years, we have celebrated milestones, supported one another through life’s seasons, and remained connected by an unbreakable bond. From classrooms to boardrooms, pulpits to public service, and from community projects to family gatherings, our sisterhood continues to inspire, empower, and uplift.

The Delta Pi Spring 2000 — 58 M.D.D.C.C. — are known for being intelligent, driven, and community-focused women who embody the true spirit of Delta. We proudly hold our place in history as the originators of the legendary “Shake It Like a Dog” Strut, a tradition that still turns heads and moves hearts.

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we honor where we began, cherish how far we’ve come, and look forward to the incredible future we will continue to build together.

We are sisters. We are leaders. We are Delta Pi Spring 2000 — a legacy of excellence that lives on.

Spring 2000

My name is Kimberly Marshall

Kim is an author, a top-producing real estate agent, and an established residential home builder in the state of Texas. She has over 18 years of experience helping families purchase and own homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. She prides herself on teaching others how to build wealth and grow legacies through the many facets of the real estate world.

Her passion for helping others live the dream of home ownership was created after she learned the benefits of purchasing her first home. It was through trial and error that she had to learn the pros and cons of purchasing real estate, and she immediately fell in love with teaching others the benefits of owning and investing in real estate. After earning a bachelor’s in Biology and a master’s in business administration from Jackson State University, Kim journeyed to Dallas, Texas, where she now calls home.

Today, Kim leads the Legacy W Realty Group and The Builder’s Coalition with a focus on real estate investing and development. She is known for ability to teach and mentor others wishing to accumulate wealth or just learn the ins and outs of the real estate world. Her brand is built on honesty and integrity while helping others navigate the fears of real life scenarios within the investment world.

A proud 25-year member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Kim is also a single-mother of one, and is balancing her demanding career with elegance, faith, and kindness.

A fun fact about me that I've embraced over the years is that I am an extreme multitasker. I have more energy in a day than most people have in a week and I am always eager to help. I absolutely love to help others in any way I can and God has blessed me with the patience to lead when most people would run. I have a strange love for turning things around and helping an endless situation thrive. I also love to laugh and will take any opportunity to do so, whether it's appropriate or not. If we are at a funeral, I am the one you don’t want to be sitting next to as we will find something to laugh at. I love laughter…..

My favorite line memory was crying in front of all of my line sisters during the middle of a ritual simply because I was tired and ready to go to sleep. It was only 8:30 pm, and yes, I also love to sleep.

Fun fact:

Laughter is an instant vacation to me and it always will be! When you’re around me we’re going to make some people mad because I can’t take nothing outside of work seriously. AND I DO MEAN NOTHING!

Nickname:

“Big Kim” As a Prancing J-Sette, there were to Kims on the line, one was little and I was Big, LOL. Til this day when people see me and in my office, I am Big Kim and I love it!

I've been a successful entrepreneur for 18 years.

Some of my favorite Delta memories were in our early days on the yard. Our first step-show, where we introduced “Shake it like a Dog” to the world, has got to be one of the best moments in Delta history on the yard. My line sisters and I are some baaaad mutha, shut yo mouths, okayyyyy…..

A fun/interesting tidbit about yourself -

I am dedicated to fostering joy and assisting others in discovering beauty in every situation. This commitment serves as both my calling and purpose in life. Both personal and professional experiences with trauma and pain have shaped my life journey, with the concept of cultivating joy being central to my healing process. It acts as a gentle reminder to overcome daily challenges and doubts. I cherish numerous memories, hobbies, and moments that inspire joy, enabling me to navigate life's difficulties. We are all called to embody joy consistently.

Favorite line memory or yard moment

I appreciate the moments that showed how resilient our line was forced to be.  I love how we cheer for each other and love across the miles and years.  One thing for sure is that our line has evolved and become some amazing and beautiful women with hearts and minds that glorify God.  The light that shines through each of us has been the most beautiful memories.  Life and our Delta experiences have thrown some curve balls but I see how these experiences have seasoned us just as we should be as mothers, wives, business women, career driven, and just humanitarians added so much value to every room we are invited to.

Fun fact most people don’t know

I love cooking or baking.  Or rather, I enjoy discovering new recipes and making them my own.  I usually never use measurements or limit myself to certain ingredients. I cook with love and always adding JOY to any dish that's sure to make you do the happy dance!

Nickname (and how you got it)

Rocky….short for Racquel.  Most people affectionately call me this after getting to know the heart of me.  Most family or friends that have become family will often call me this.

I am passionate about the diverse avenues within counseling and mental health awareness. My intention is to continue enriching the lives of others through the Cultivating JOY brand by offering classes, camps, parenting workshops, gifts, and experiences inspired by my faith. It is truly rewarding to witness others grow and flourish as they connect with their God-given joy amidst life's challenges.

I was also pretty sassy, and together, those traits made me the perfect candidate for the name Miss Know It All while I was on line.

The “Miss” part of my name has its own story. One day while we were on line, one of my big sisters asked me, “What’s your name?” I knew what response she was looking for, but I decided not to give in. Instead, I confidently replied, “Adero Bell.” She looked at me, a little baffled, and said, “Well, names sometimes come with a prefix, like Miss ______,” and then stated her first and last name. Without missing a beat, I replied, “Miss Adero Bell.” This caused an uproar in the room, and from that moment on, I sarcastically became Miss Adero Bell to that big sister and Miss K.I.A.—Miss Know It All to everyone else.
