About Spring 2000
58 M.D.D.C.C.
On February 10, 2000, history was made at Jackson State University when 58 extraordinary women crossed into sisterhood as the Spring 2000 line of Delta Pi. Bound by courage, faith, and determination, we stepped into a lifelong commitment to one another and to the legacy of service, leadership, and excellence.
For the past 25 years, we have celebrated milestones, lifted one another through challenges, and created a bond that time cannot break. From classrooms to boardrooms, from community service projects to family gatherings, our sisterhood has been a source of strength and inspiration.
The Delta Pi Spring 2000 line—58 M.D.D.C.C. Lots— is known for being intelligent, hardworking, community-oriented, and resourceful. We also proudly hold our place in history as the originators of the famous “Shake It Like A Dog” Strut. And true to our spirit, we live by the mantra: “We party hard, and we graduate.”
Today, as we honor our 25th anniversary, we reflect on where we started, celebrate how far we’ve come, and look forward to the future we will continue to build together.
We are sisters. We are leaders. We are Delta Pi.

Our Line
We met as young women on the campus of Jackson State University, each with our own dreams, gifts, and goals. It was Delta Pi that brought us together, uniting 58 ladies into one powerful sisterhood in the Spring of 2000. What began as a shared journey of service, scholarship, and sisterhood has grown into a lifelong bond—sustained not just by our letters, but by the love that continues to keep us connected 25 years later.
