ABOUT SPRING 2000

Our Story

On February 10, 2000, history was made at Jackson State University when 58 extraordinary women crossed into sisterhood as the Spring 2000 line of Delta Pi's Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Bound by courage, faith, and determination, we stepped into a lifelong commitment to one another and to the legacy of sisterhood, scholarship, and service.

For the past 25 years, we have celebrated milestones, lifted one another through challenges, and created a bond that time cannot break. From classrooms to boardrooms, from community service projects to family gatherings, our sisterhood has been a source of strength and inspiration.

The Delta Pi Spring 2000 —58 M.D.D.C.C.— is known for being intelligent, hardworking, community-oriented, and resourceful. We also proudly hold our place in history as the originators of the famous “Shake It Like A Dog” Strut.

This Homecoming, as we honor our 25th anniversary, we reflect on where we started, celebrate how far we’ve come, and look forward to the future we will continue to build together.
